Pastor Richard Warnecke arrived in Baton Rouge for the second time in two weeks. The primary purpose of this trip is to participate in the distribution of 80 tons of relief supplies that will be delivered from WELS members in the Bay City and Saginaw, Mich., area on five volunteer semi-trucks. Listen to an audio post outlining the project, which includes not only providing supplies for the physical needs of those displaced by Katrina, but also reaching out to fill their spiritual needs with donated devotional books from Northwestern Publishing House and invitations to attend our local WELS congregations.
